When we talk about media in writing, we’re referring to the various forms of communication used to convey information or tell a story. It includes things like books, newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs, and even social media platforms. Media in writing helps to reach a wider audience and engage readers through different channels.

Before this class I would say I had a good understanding of media which was also enforced during this class. I learned how to use different media while writing to deliver my message based on my audiences age, education and socio-economic level. My main purpose was to make my writing very accessible to my audience.

Example

For our PSA project we used digital media to convey the issues on sustainablitiy. The reason why we did this is because it met the need of our audience the best. Our audience were CUNY students who have really good access to technology.
